I had a similar problem. What might help is to publish a zip containing just the files that changed since the previous chapter. That should be significantly smaller, considering how you've structured the game files.

Seconding (or more:) the request for a demo on itch - I don't use discord (or much else in the way of social media), so that's no good to me, sadly. Plus I'd expect that the lower you make the barrier to trying the demo, the more people will do so (which should mean more sales)!

It looks like you are trying to move the actual "game" folder with the game data out of the .app, but it doesn't work on my machine. When I copy a working renpy app and paste in your game folder in the right spot, everything works, but it does appear to need that level of surgery to run.

never heard about this game, but when i read "it's story driven" and "the plot is the star" I became interested. I love when developer respect our human brains and don't treat us like horn dogs. jokes aside great job my man keep it up.
Some typos up to chapter 7. Not much just every now and then. Some sentences also need work as it will repeat words accidently as well.
I feel like it would be nice to have a scene showing when you enter a new chapter, but that is just preference.
The benign narrator (before you figure things out) is VERY bothersome to me and I even started skipping those times as that broke my immersion/annoyed me ( I stopped skipping when I figured things out as it became a lot more entertaining and actually felt relevant).
Even after Figuring out WHY it was like that, I think it would be better overall for the story, other readers, etc to remove its interactions/narrations as the purpose it serves up to the WHY is almost meaningless in the grand scheme of things (Up to the reveal moment). To add to that I believe the revelation of it would have a better impact if all of it was removed up to that point.
Better yet, If you just took every narrative moment and played it as a sort of "flashback" type scene which would THEN go to the encounter. That would be much better as well.
Basically. I feel even knowing why, it hurts the story more than anything as it currently is. I mean no disrespect.
Either way. I enjoyed it up to what has been released up to this moment.
I have seen there is an apparent ability to maybe harem route. But I really see no "natural" reason why this would happen unless 1) you beat it normally once and want to see it 2) are a natural douche lmfao
And I am a fan of harem shit.

With the Romanceable characters is it going to be choice driven or linear story. Right now he seems to only have eyes for the noble woman even with the herbalist being there despite the past they share.
Maria is the main LI, so she's mandatory. Whether you attempt to romance other characters as well is up to you. I can guarantee that there will be at least two good endings (Maria-only and harem), but achieving the latter ending will take some work, since Maria isn't the sharing type...
Been really enjoying this romance so far, but one thing that keeps popping up that feels out of place is that weird narrator thingy. All it does is interrupt the flow of things to spout some nihilistic nonsense or an out of place joke.
Anyway, other than that, it's been a real heartwarming, and dare I say cute, story. I'm glad that it's not just filled with creepy encounters and horny shenanigans.
Guys don't look just the sex content in this games look for the hole game. For example the game once in a life time. There was sex content but the story really gave me feelings

I'm also on M1, which might affect things.
Checked with some other people who know more about Renpy - it might be an issue of OS X quarantining the Renpy app. Here are two known workarounds:
1) Show package content on app > contents > macOS - open executable file.
2)
Open terminal.
Paste (with a space at the end):
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine
Drag the app onto the terminal, so you get something like
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Users/<username>/Games/Price-Of-Power/Price-Of-Power.app (file path/names may vary)
Run that command. The app should now open properly every time without needing to locate and run the internal executable.

Interesting. The first one opened the game, but double clicking on the .app still didn't work. The second fixed things entirely.
The odd thing is that most renpy apps work fine without this. Not sure why yours and a couple others are unhappy, while the rest work.
I don't know why either, since I'm on the latest public release of Renpy... But I'm glad this fixed the issue.
